

DINMOD prepares a finite element network for use by other FESWMS-2DH programs. The core of FESWMS-2DH consists of three distinct but related programs: DINMOD, the data input module FLOMOD, the depth-averaged flow solution module and ANOMOD, the analysis of output module.

However, FESWMS-2DH can be used to model many different steady and unsteady flow conditions. The modeling system was developed to analyze primarily flow at highway bridge crossings where complicated hydraulic conditions exist.

The Finite Element Surface-Water Modeling System: Two-Dimensinal Flow in a Horizontal Plane (FESWMS-2DH) is a modular set of computer programs that simulate surface-water flow that is essentially two-dimensional in a horizontal plane.
